    Basic information about the IPA 2017 project

    Project title: 'Building an Effective and Citizen-friendly Judiciary' - IPA 2017
    Duration of the project implementation: September 2018 - September 2021 (36 months)
    Donor: European Union
    Project Budget: 5,95 million Euro
     
    Project objectives:
    • To enhance the overall effectiveness of the BiH judiciary and increase public trust in the country’s justice system;
    • To increase accountability and transparency of the BiH judiciary to provide better services for citizens and businesses
    The Project is tailored to build an effective and citizen-friendly judiciary in BiH through EU funding, principally through the Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance IPA 2017.

    The overall objective of the Project is to strengthen the rule of law in Bosnia and Herzegovina, which is at the heart of the EU accession process, while the reform of the BiH judiciary is the key element for achieving progress in the pre-accession process.
